My late mother always used to say, whenever we passed Abelson's, that they were related somehow to Frankie Vaughan the super-smooth entertainer of the 50's amd 60's. I know Frankie Vaughan was born Frank Abelson, maybe she was right. Does anyone know???

I believe the family-owner of this company was Frankie Vaughan's uncle and the young Frankie stayed with them when he went to Leeds Art College. By 1954 he would have been 26 years old and probably already in 'show business'
