1970s. View of New Station Street looking towards Boar Lane, taken in the mid 1970s. On the corner in the centre are the former premises of Owen & Robinson Ltd, jeweller, now closed down. Moving to the right is Ardente Hearing Aids at no. 9 New Station Street, then the Wimpy Bar restaurant at no. 13. Spensley & Gough, light clothing manufacturers, occupy the upper floors. On the left is D. G. Marr, jeweller, while on the far side of Boar Lane is the Golden Egg restaurant, with the Co-op visible on Albion Street behind.
