Photograph taken in the early 1900s. On the left is number 20, Edgar A Heywood Optician. Then moving right, number 18 Jackson's hat shop, next, Capper's grocers and tea merchants. The entrance to Hirst's Yard can be seen, right of the opening is 14a Zedra Marb's Sweet Shop. Number 14 was Berrington and Co, boot manufacturers, who have the large advertisement across the shop frontage. This was the work of Farrar Signs of Leeds.
